‘Ayodya Batik Festival 2016’ October 7-9, 2016

To honor of National Batik Day that falls on Sunday, October 2, 2016 – a day dedicated to celebrating the highly-esteemed tradition of batik making that flourishes in many parts of the Nation, Ayodya Resort Bali is launching its inaugural Ayodya Batik Festival 2016 – October 7-9, 2016.

The three-day event will include a variety of cultural music performances, food stalls, local art exhibitions, fashion shows and a product exhibitions. The opening night will take place at theBeach Garden of Ayodya Resort Baliwith exhibition space extending to the Grand Ballroom and adjoining foyer.

Targeted to attract over 1000 attendees, the Ayodya Resort Bali hopes to turn the Ayodya Batik Festival into an annual affair on the hotel’s calendar of important events.

Celebrating Indonesia’s local artists, the festival will see stunning performances from Balawan, Batuan Ethnic, Ceraken Gamelan Orchestra,Emoni Music Group and Kobagi, together with a fashion showcase of traditional pieces created by local designers such as Afif Syakur, Putu Aliki, Linda Lirose, Monika Weber, Weda Githa, Neli Gunawan, Dwi Iskandar, Cindy Lavina and Solo with love by Joko SSP. There will also be an exhibition of jewelry by Komang Tri.

Interactive entertainment will also be on hand during the three days including a children’s corner with traditional games, demonstrations on batik production, weaving demonstrations (tenun) and jewelry making. A tradition night market will also be in operation under the supervision of Ayodya Resort Bali’s food and beverage team who promise to share the many tastes of the archipelago.
